Dialogue in the Dark Singapore at the True Colours Festival

Visitors standing happily and smiling in front of a banner saying Dialogue in the Dark Singapore - A journey into a world without sight. A unique, innovative learning facility.

From March 23 to 25, Dialogue in the Dark Singapore took part of the True Colours Festival. This is the first Asia pacific performing arts festival of music which celebrates the talent of artists with disability.

DiD Singapore set up a mobile dark room experience as part of the True Colours Festival Village. Visitors were brought through a simulation of a rustic “Kampung” Kitchen. “Kampung” is Malay word for village. There were elements of smell, touch and sound, using elements of a kitchen setting from olden days Singapore.

The DiD Singapore mobile dark room received about 500 visitors over the 3 days. To run the operations, 14 blind guides worked in rotation with 2 batches of interns in support.
